Belfast Community Acupuncture's Ormeau Clinic is now open from 1pm - 6pm every Thursday! You can book an appointment, or drop-in between 1-4pm to the next available slot. Everyone is welcome to call in to say hi and to see what we do!
What should you expect to get out of acupuncture? This is a very good question!
You can look forward to moderate relief of your symptoms in the beginning and progressive relief of your symptoms over the next few days or weeks of treatment, depending upon how long you've had those symptoms. We will also provide guidance regarding long-term health from a Chinese Medicine viewpoint. For me prior to choosing to study acupuncture/Chinese Medicine as a way of life, the value of Chinese medicine was not just about the absence of pain but in my new understanding of how to look after myself, and that health is about empowerment, not about being 'fixed'.
At your treatment you can expect a deeply relaxing time which you can use to quietly think, meditate or sleep either in silence or while listening to music.
With serious illness, realistic goals are important and your treatments should be an open dialogue with your practitioner so that your goals can be defined clearly and your expectations met. We look forward to talking with you!
A free International Men's Health Week event will take place at Belfast City Hall on Wednesday 13th June 2012 (see link). You will be able to collect Belfast Community Acupuncture special offers vouchers at the event:
